Designed in cooperation with four-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong himself, he has said that the day he was diagnosed with cancer on October 2nd, 1996 (10/02) was the day he started to live. This uniquely designed and tastefully executed timepiece was individually numbered to acknowledge the significance of that October day.

After Nike limited production to only 1,002 watches of this special edition model, dedicated collectors have scrambled to own one. This ever-decreasing supply led to increased allure and value. Alongside the only retail display known to still exist, this is a truly rare and unique high quality watch from the top end of Nike Timing's line.
Nike only produced 1,002 to recognize the significance of a single day: 10/02. October 2nd was the day that 25-year-old Lance Armstrong was diagnosed with Stage III Testicular cancer. From his survival and rise to cycling fame, his ambition is an inspirational reminder that there’s life after cancer.

The high quality retail display was never included in this watch’s original public sale. In our 10+ years of collecting Nike watches, this is the only complete set ever seen. Alongside the brand new watch, this ultra-rare offering is a priceless addition for the serious collector.
Meaningful icons like a skull, an astrological sign of Cancer, a radioactive symbol, and Lance's home state of Texas appear on the crown and caseback. - The spherical black case gets its color from a thin textured coating and has started to show its age. Noted as a common issue from collectors of this watch, we can confirm that touching this black textured coating now results in a light impression being made. The resulting visible imperfections can be best seen in the last photo.

My experience was awesome. Received the watch within a couple of days. Easy to use, but having the owner's manual is a game changer for more advanced functions.
